Artwork & file requirements
File Format
We prefer artwork produced in Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Photo-Paint or Photoshop.
Our prefered file format is in PDF or Adobe Illustrator EPS, but please ensure that all text has been selected and outlines created.
Please send actual size. All image files need to have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
Our four colour presses handle CMYK mode only - all RGB images will be converted, which can cause extreme shifts in colour.
After placing an order we can provide a proof of your label before final production so that you can see how your label will look.
Full bleeds and layout requirements
A full bleed is when the colour “bleeds” off the label.
If your label design or background colour is intended to cover the entire surface of the label, please note that we need a 3 mm bleed around each edge of the label.
For example, if you have a 50 x 25 mm label where the colour bleeds off the edges, you should size your design to 56 mm x 31 mm as this ensures a 3 mm bleed around the entire label.
It's also wise to leave at least 2 mm of clear space (i.e. no significant design elements or text) inside the die-line to allow for slight shifts during die-cutting.
Design
Although we can make small adjustments to your labels we do not have an ‘in house’ designer, however we would be happy to recommend someone to help you design your label.
